📖 Brand Background

Clothency was founded in May 2023 by Cindrella, a designer-turned-environmentalist who spent a decade in the mainstream fashion industry before deciding it was time for change. Having grown up surrounded by textiles in her grandmother’s atelier, Cindrella’s love for clothing was always rooted in craftsmanship. But it wasn’t until witnessing firsthand the waste and exploitation behind the scenes that her vision truly shifted.

She envisioned a brand that would celebrate femininity, respect the Earth, and elevate craftsmanship. And so, Clothency was born—named for the belief that clothing should hold a deeper currency than trend alone. Today, Cindrella leads a growing team of designers, makers, and dreamers who share a single goal: fashion that reflects both inner and outer beauty.

🚀 Development Stages

  • May 2023 – Clothency is founded by Cindrella in Los Angeles, CA, with a mission to offer ethically-made fashion without compromise

  • July 2023 – Launch of our first capsule collection: 12 wardrobe staples made with TENCELℱ, organic cotton, and biodegradable buttons

  • September 2023 – We roll out a transparent supply chain map, showing every step from fabric sourcing to final stitch

  • February 2024 – Clothency debuts its first zero-waste accessory line, upcycling production offcuts into elegant bags and scarves

  • May 2024 – We celebrate one year with our “One Dress, One Tree” initiative—planting a tree for every dress sold

  • 2025 and onward – We’re building toward a fully circular model, pioneering materials innovation, and empowering a global conscious community
